1085 Edition Kristalia - Chair
It is a timeless chair because it comes in a material – natural hide obtained by respecting all the properties that comprise its identity – and because the project underlying this chair has the strength to challenge time: the hide will inevitably move, its texture will change and its colour will alter but the chair will express this transition, preserving its functionality and performance over time. For this project, Bartoli Design happily drew upon the experience of Presot in the haute couture sector (the visible stitching is a clear reference to that world), and the boating sector, as seen in the tie-rod device that ensures the tension that would be lost naturally over the years, and in the softening of the hide, which remains robust.
The presence of wrinkles or little defects (scars, stains, stripes) are a guarantee that the product is natural.

Kristalia was founded in 1994 by a young group of Friulians with a passion for jazz, who did the smartest but also the easiest and most immediate thing they could do, they looked around them. In the north-east, where the company was to be built, they discovered sectors that were completely new to design, but in which local excellence was expressed: hiking boots, the production of automotive components, clothing and knitwear.
